On Thursday the 20th June 2013 easyJet's inaugural flight landed at 8.20am at Newquay Airport from Southend. Aboard were a party of journalists from all manor of publications who were on a tour to see the delights of Cornwall, and what it has to offer the visitor to our wonderful county. They were welcomed to Mawgan Porth by the Mawgan Porth Business Group where they were given a talk by Ian Greaves (MD of the St. Eval Candle Co.) on what Mawgan Porth and its surrounds has to offer, whilst being photographed in the beautiful sand dunes overlooking the beach.

Each journalist is to be given a basket of locally produced goods similar to that in the picture to remind them of just what is produced in the Mawgan Porth area.
